Glaser spoke on some of the challenges of traditional wheelchair accessible transportation solutions. He said, “Most people get in and out of their car every day and they don’t give it a second thought. But if you are one of the millions of Americans who uses a wheelchair, it is a different story. If you want to visit your friends or family, pick up groceries, or go to work, it’s complicated. That’s because there has never been a vehicle that has been designed to be wheelchair accessible. Instead, you had to go out and buy a minivan and convert it in the after-market. That’s expensive and complicated and it raises issues of safety and reliability. There needed to be something better.”
He also commented on what Mobility Ventures has done to change that by stating, “Mobility Ventures has designed a vehicle that is specifically wheelchair accessible called the MV-1. There is nothing else like it in the world.”
Vice President of Programming, JL Haber was quoted stating, “Unless you have a wheelchair that you use every day, this is not something you think about but it is a major issue in the market today. Mobility Ventures has changed all of that.”
