Racine, WI - On September 14th, Luke Olson launched a Kickstarter campaign for Illumicase, personalized iPhone cases that bring creativity, personality, and fun to your phone case. Choose from hundreds of interchangeable designs and colors!
“We made Illumicase as a way for people to express themselves through their phones and to make cases fun and exciting to look at! Illumicase lets you bring your personality to your phone case by allowing you to choose the colors and designs you wish to express,” explains the creator, “These designs can be switched in and out in a matter of seconds to easily show off your style and creativity.”
Illumicase is currently available for the iPhone 5 and 5S in ten different colors, including: black, white, green, blue, turquoise, mint green, rose gold, pink, and Kickstarter exclusive silver. Each Illumicase comes with an illuminator – a cool light that shows off your unique symbol. You also get to choose a logo that is used as the case’s main design. There are also stretch goals to produce cases for the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus.
Illumicase lights up when you press the illuminator, with eight different colors to pick from! It can be fully charged in two hours with a Micro-USB and has a 7 – 10 day battery life. Even though the team behind this project has already brought Illumicase a long way, there is still more work to be done. That is why they have turned to the Kickstarter community for help.
“As of now we have gone through four prototyping stages with what little resources we currently have. We have also built a strong relationship with our manufacturing partner and understand what we need to get our product on the market,” says Olson, “We’ve proved that we can achieve what we have designed and we are ready to build Illumicase.”
In exchange for pledging to the project, backers can gain access to a variety of limited rewards including a t-shirt or a hoodie for $25, a silver Illumicase in the design of your choice (with the exclusive illuminator and logo) for $38, and much more. Backers can also pledge $42 for a customized Illumicase, $69 for a Twin Pack for, $150 for a family pack with four of everything or $350 for a ten pack.
