Some of the small changes which were done for the musical adaptation was the changing of Rafiki’s gender which has become female. Different scenes which were not in the film were also added such as Nala’s departure in the scene “The Madness of King Scar”. Some additional tunes such as “Morning Report”, “Shadowland”, “Endless Night” and “One by One” were also added. Witness the wonder of Lion King all over again and watch the Broadway production of Lion King the Musical.
The Cadillac Palace Theatre originally opened up nearly a centruy ago in 1926 and it was known as the New Palace Theatre. It was part of the Eitel Block Project and originally built at the cost of approximately $12 million. Fast forward to 1984, this venue was turned into a rock venue and renamed as the Bismarck Theatre. Fifteen years ago in 1999, it was renovated and renamed as the Cadillac Palace Theatre after Cadillac purchased the naming rights to the venue. This storied venue has a seating capacity of 2,344. Some of the many Broadway productions which have performed here include: Wicked, Mary Poppins and Shrek the Musical.
