College Football Playoff Semifinal at the Capital One Orange Bowl – December 31: Oklahoma vs. Clemson:
The first of two semifinal games held on Christmas Eve will be between the top seeded and undefeated Clemson Tigers against the Oklahoma Sooners. The Tigers survived a hard fought battle with North Carolina to win the ACC Championship and will look to advance to the National Championship against the talented Sooners. The Sooners won the Big 12 Championship and will have a 11-1 record heading into this bowl game with Clemson.
College Football Playoff Semifinal at the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic – December 31: Michigan State vs. Alabama:
This game between the second seeded Alabama Crimson Tide against the third seeded Michigan State Spartans should be one of the greatest of the 2015-16 bowl schedule. The Spartans knocked off the previously undefeated Iowa Hawkeyes to win the Big Ten Championship on their way to the football playoff. Alabama may be the hottest team in college football right now. They will come into this game with a 12-1 record including wins in their last 10 games including their SEC Championship win against Florida.
College Football Playoff National Championship – January 11: TBD
The winner of the previous two games will meet to determine the 2016 college football National Champion.
Valero Alamo Bowl – January 2: Oregon vs. TCU
The Alamodome in San Antonio, TX will be the site of this potentially high-scoring affair between two teams that were once near the top of the rankings this season.
Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl – January 1: Michigan vs. Florida
Despite losing in the SEC Championship the Florida Gators are in one of the biggest bowl games of the season when they will stay close to home to take on the Jim Harbaugh-led Michigan Wolverines.
BattleFrog Fiesta Bowl – January 1: Notre Dame vs. Ohio State
The college football world will have a chance to see how good Notre Dame really is when they take on the Ohio State Buckeyes in the Fiesta Bowl. The Buckeyes were the favorites to be competing for the national title coming into the season but lost a key game late in the season to the Spartans.
Rose Bowl Game Presented by Northwestern Mutual – January 1: Stanford vs. Iowa
One of the most popular college football bowl games held each year is the Rose Bowl from Pasadena, CA. This year the matchup will be between the Stanford Cardinal and Hawkeyes of Iowa.
