The conference is not going to be left out of the big things Texas is known for. Additional preconference learning opportunities and enhanced peer-to-peer networking through roundtables, to ensure parents receive and experience an unforgettable level of support.
Dr. Andrea Thompson, Parents as Tutor’s consultant, shared the following. “Teachers cannot do it all, and neither can parents. Both groups need each other, and so we devised a simple and effective way that parents and educators can partner and help pick up where the other leaves off. It’s my honor to have met and shared with these empowered parents, where opportunities to learn, connect, share, grow and rejuvenate are provided in abundance.”
Parents as Tutors, a dynamic company dedicated to helping parents partner with teachers, provides parents with knowledge, skills, and resources necessary for engaging in student learning. This comes in the form of parental reading workshops designed to help parents understand reading components and instructional strategies, for helping children increase their reading level. These parental academy workshops are now available in a series of books, designed to reach even more parents across the country, and give them hope. Finally, parents can enjoy knowing the strategies and processes needed to help their children learn reading.
