Newport News, Virginia: On Monday, November 9, 2015, join TASTE and IVET Solutions as we salute our nation’s veterans and military spouses with a sweet treat from TASTE. From 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., IVET Solutions, a local nonprofit serving veterans and military families, will be onsite sharing information about their programs and services. JoinUS as we celebrate “Operation Dessert Storm!”
“As Veteran’s Day approaches, we thought this was the perfect time to partner with IVET and deploy ‘Operation Dessert Storm,’ to both to share a token of our gratitude with our military customers and to help IVET with their mission of supporting military families,” said Amy Jordan, Director of Marketing, Public Relations and Events for TASTE. “Because we have a lot of military customers during our busy lunch hours, we hope this will be a great opportunity for IVET to reach the people who may benefit from the services they offer.”
The first 100 veterans, active duty military and military spouses with valid military ID to inquire at the IVET table will receive a voucher for a free cookie or dessert bar with purchase, compliments of TASTE. Look for IVET team members at the Norfolk, Suffolk and Newport News locations.
