Siri Lindley And Rebekah Keat To Coach Racequest Triathlon Camp In Costa Rica

All-Inclusive, Small-Group Camp Features World-Class Training Jan. 21-25, 2016

PLAYA OCOTAL, Costa Rica - RaceQuest, a travel and event management company focused exclusively on the unique training and travel needs of athletes and their families, announced details today for one of its featured 2016 Costa Rica Triathlon Training Camps, taking place January 21-25, 2016, at The Cove at Ocotal in Guanacaste, Costa Rica.

RaceQuestTravel will partner with legendary World Champion and Olympic Triathlon Coach, Siri Lindley, to providecoaching, triathlon skills analysis and training sessions for athletes taking part in a small-group setting. Lindley will be assisted by 6-Time iron-distance triathlon champion and one of the fastest professional triathletes in history, Rebekah “Bek” Keat.

The 5-day, 4-night triathlon camp will be based at RaceQuest Travel’s new training base in Costa Rica for 20 weeks each year, The Cove at Ocotal Beach (www.thecoveatocotal.com), an exclusive collection of beach villas, saltwater pools, and athletic training facilities located just 20 minutes from Liberia, Costa Rica’s international airport. The warm, clear Pacific waters of Ocotal, scenic footpaths and miles of rewarding cycling routes create the ultimate training environment for triathletes of every experience level.

Perfect All-Inclusive Triathlon Getaway

This comprehensive training experience includes expert triathlon coaching from Siri Lindley and BekKeat, 5-days and 4-nights of luxurious accommodations, all meals with special dietary options available, sunset welcome dinner at the beach, round trip airport ground shuttle service, nutrition needs during training, open water swimming, run gait analysis, swim stroke video analysis, bike mechanic, supported bike rides, restorative yoga, custom technical training apparel, and use of all athletic training facilities. 

An optional “Ultimate Recovery Day” is offered at the conclusion of the camp, with athletes spending time at Rio Perdido Thermal Mineral Springs and Spa relaxing in the hot springs or enjoying a nature hike prior to travel. Additional nights at The Cove at Ocotal are also available at special rates, ensuring athletes and guests have plenty of time to enjoy all the area has to offer.

About Coach Siri Lindley

Siri Lindley, formerly the #1 ranked triathlete in the world, dominated the International Triathlon Union (ITU) World Rankings, winning 13 World Cup races in 2000-2002 and was the 2001 ITU World Champion and 2001 ITU Aquathlon World Champion. In 2003, Siri began coaching, having achieved all of her goals during her professional triathlon career.

Siri’s experience and coaching talents have helped her athletes to achieve 6 World Championships (3 IRONMAN World Champion titles and 1 IRONMAN 70.3 World Champion title for Mirinda Carfrae; 1 IRONMAN World Champion title and 1 IRONMAN 70.3 World Champion title for Leanda Cave), as well as 2 Olympic medals. 

Known in the sport for her positive approach and tireless work ethic, Siri enjoys coaching triathletes at all distances and works with both elite and age group level competitors.

About Assistant Coach Rebekah “Bek” Keat

BekKeat has been a pro triathlete for over 15 years with over 20 years’ experience in the sport. Bek has been coaching for several years whilst competing at the highest level as a top 10 ranked international triathlete for the last 10 years. In 2011 Bek was world No. 1, and broke the world iron-distance record in 2009 with a time of 8:39, which made her the 2nd fastest female in history behind Chrissie Wellington. 

Bekstill currently holds the 6th fastest time in the history of Ironman racing and has won over 6 full iron and 25 half-iron distance events. She is a 2-time Junior World Champion, Silver medalist at the Long Course World Championships and has two top-6 finishes at the IRONMAN World Championships in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.
