BERLIN, Germany – November 4, 2015 - Compressorhead, is a full robot rock band, and their designers recently announced that they want to build a front robot that can sing. The designers are Frank, Markus, and Stock. They are the geniuses behind Compressorhead, which is composed of Stickboy the drummer, Fingers the guitarist, and Bones the bass player. They are the first people to build a robot rock band, independent of any institutional or industrial funding.
Now, they want Compressorhead to be the first Robot Band to record an original album. The album will include fourteen songs exclusively composed to be performed by Compressorhead. Together, with the Canadian music-legend John Wright of NomeansNo and The Hanson Brothers, they are producing fantastic new songs for their Rocking Robot Band. Interested parties can get a first impression how it sounds when John jams with Compressorhead by watching the video here.
But, Compressorhead can’t make an album without a singer. They want to be more; they want to be a group of four! So, they are building a Robot Lead Vocalist to be the front man of the band, it’s got to be solid, it’s got to have the moves, it’s got to keep the show together. However, before they can build the front robot, Compressorhead needs help. That’s why they launched this Kickstarter campaign. The goal of this project is to raise €290,000 by December 5, 2015. The funds raised will go towards producing a high-performance machine, which has high-quality parts. The funds will give the designers time to completely build the robot to the stand they hold. Then, some of the funds will go towards programming and teaching the robots how to perform songs. The rest of the funds will go towards funding the actual album, since they can’t bring this robot rock band to the studio, they have to bring the studios to the robots.
To help bring this Robot Lead Vocalist to life, please visit the Kickstarter campaign or click here. Perks will be delivered between December 2015 and December 2020.
Please keep in mind this is an “all-or-nothing” deal, which means if the campaign does not reach the funding goal then the project cannot move forward. So know that any amount given can make a difference, and this is an incredible opportunity to be a part of a special campaign! Help Compressorhead reach the goal by sharing this on Facebook, Twitter, and other social networks. The more people know about this, the more support the campaign will receive.
