Supporting and enhancing the missions of United Methodist Homes in New Jersey, United Methodist Homes Foundation introduces Church Connection Program as an initiative to strengthen the bonds between their churches and other faith-based ministries.

Neptune, New Jersey – November 04, 2015 - Established in 1985, United Methodist Homes Foundation has been acting as an independent entity to support the mission of the United Methodist Homes of NJ. The Foundation conducts various fundraising initiatives including annual and deferred giving, donor cultivation and relationship building programs, special events, and various community engagement opportunities to raise financial contributions to support the charitable mission of the Homes.

United Methodist Homes Foundation Church Connection Program serves an initiative to actively engage in ministry with churches and faith-based organizations who have a passion and mission to serve seniors.

The Church Connection Program brings forth numerous benefits including enhancing the connectional relationship between partner churches and United Methodist Homes, providing easy access to adult-care programs and more.

A spokesperson of UMH Foundation stated, “The Church Connection program is developed to strengthen and enhance the longstanding bonds between the churches of our Greater New Jersey Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church and other faith based ministries who support our work and our residents through prayer, volunteerism and financial stewardship.”

Partner Congregations should be capable of promoting UMHNJ programs such as “Walk for All Ages,” “Family Fun Day,” annual Homes bazaars, car shows, golf outings and other programs as they occur. Each congregation designates a Homes’s Ambassador to act as the direct line of communication between the congregation and UMHNJ.

Ambassadors are instrumental in assisting the partner church in setting and achieving an annual Fellowship Fund financial goal. Each ambassador receives direct communication about events and activities, needs and concerns from the UMHNJ Home Office and from one of our residential communities. The ambassador then assists the faith leader in promoting and publicizing the benefits of the Homes’ programs and outreach. Church Connection yields financial and programmatic advantages to partnering ministries.
