Hanover, Maryland – Every Night Comfort, www.everynightcomfort.com, is trying their hand at brick and mortar retail this holiday season. In the past they have only sold their products online, they sell bamboo sheets, bamboo pillow and bamboo mattress covers. They have established a Kiosk in the Arundel Mills Mall located in front of the mall entrance of Bass Pro Shop.
Marty Minton the owner of Every Night Comfort says, “By establishing this location in the mall we are testing to see if this is a practical distribution of our product. If this location is successful this year we will branch out into more locations for the 2016 Holiday Season.” He further emphasized “Our product is a touchy feely product. Bamboo products are softer than the finest cotton bedding at a fraction of the cost. By having a retail location consumers can feel firsthand the softness and luxury of bamboo products. They are not able to do this in an online setting.”
By taking a physical locations, even for a short time, Every Night Comfort is looking to reach consumers they would not reach online. Some consumers still refuse to buy online while using the medium to do research and price comparisons. Their unique products also sell faster when consumers can touch and feel the product if they have never had any experience with Bamboo products.
Bamboo textile products are made from bamboo fibers. Bamboo is a renewable crop that has zero negative impact on the environment and is the world’s most sustainable resource. It requires no pesticides or herbicides to grow and no watering as the climates which support bamboo crops can rely on Mother Nature to do her job. Bamboo can grow up to four inches per day.
The product is hypoallergenic, antibacterial and dries quickly. Bamboo products do not require special care and are machine washable. It has a very high soil release so it does not stain as easy as typical cotton bedding.
Online retailers that establish physical locations typically see a broader brand awareness. Every Night Comfort is not the first online retailer to take this approach. Big players such as Google and Amazon have recently established physical locations to offer consumers a more integrated product experience. Scott Galloway, professor of marketing at New York University, has said “The future of retail looks more like Macy’s than Amazon. Pure-play e-commerce doesn’t work for anybody.
