Unfortunately, many turn to substance abuse as a means of medicating themselves from the struggles they face. While caring parents watch their child spiral; these same parents and family members often find themselves unequipped with the knowledge and tools that can help their young man regain a solid footing in his world.
With over 30 years of experience addressing the needs of young men from the ages of 14 to 24, a unique program of addiction treatment is available to help restore a new level of maturity and a true realization of healing, hope and happiness. Recognizing that drug and alcohol dependency can be a progressive and destructive disease, a staff of experienced and fully trained counselors are available to assist each patient and their families with loving care and attention.
Following a thorough assessment of each young man’s treatment needs, he is assigned a personal counselor and a program for sobriety designed to meet his specific needs. However, with a team-based approach to therapy, every clinical staff member has visibility into all treatment plans, including the challenges and history of each patient. This allows all counselors to provide a unified therapeutic approach to treatment and the necessary daily, concerted attention necessary to help each young man restore himself to a healthy and substance-free approach to his world.
Based on an outreach program which incorporates a wilderness expedition for young men and male teens, our inpatient program becomes a powerful and impactful tool to lead them to a new life of sobriety. All expeditions are staffed with fully licensed addiction counselors and wilderness instructors, offering each teen access to the guidance and assistance they need throughout their outdoor experience. Many treatment modalities are incorporated into each youth’s treatment experience, including individual and group therapy, equine therapy, personal service and a 12-step program.
With a journey that can take a young man from a path of hopelessness and addiction, our program works closely with all family members to help restore balance in the home and address his feelings of isolation and lack of self-esteem. With a detailed program that includes psycho-education and emotional counseling, followed by a rewarding outdoor expedition, each young man is introduced to a new way of life that is free from dependency on drugs or alcohol to cope with the daily demands of his life.
